Only one Dollars off/Air Miles/Free item coupon per purchase. "Product specific" coupons may be combined with other coupons as long as the purchase requirement of each coupon is met independently.
Unless a coupon specifically applies to a particular item, its value may be proportionally distributed to all items purchased. You still get the same value off, whether it’s a percentage or a specific dollar amount, but it’s applied appropriately to all the items in your order.
To find out if you qualify for a large-quantity discount, please call customer service at 888-515-8880.
Staples charges sales tax based on the order’s destination, in accordance with provincial and federal tax laws. Staples has a business "presence" in each of the provinces or territories we ship to and is therefore required to charge sales tax based on the tax laws of that province or territory.
If you’re an existing tax-exempt customer and have a Staples customer number that’s tax exempt, you must enter it on your account registration. When your order is processed, your customer number will be used and you won’t be charged tax.
If you’re a new tax-exempt customer, fax us a copy or your government-issued tax exemption form to 800-567-2260. Please also include your company contact information and your existing Staples customer number if you already have one.
An Indigenous people is a person who qualifies as an "Indian" under the Indian Act and is in possession of a Certificate of Indian Status card issued by the federal government. Under the Indian Act, these persons are exempt from sales taxes on personal property situated on a reserve.
PST (Provincial Sales Tax) Exemption
All of the following conditions need to be met by an Indigenous people to be PST exempt:
Note: Delivery to the reserve is not a requirement in Ontario as long as the items are planned to be used on a reserve. In the case of delivering the items to a location other than a reserve, we will need that to be indicated on the signed, faxed copy of your Native Status Card.
GST/HST Exemption
In all provinces, Indigenous Peoples are GST/HST exempt only if the goods being purchased are delivered to the reserve. If you have any questions regarding tax exemption, contact the sales tax office in your province:

Eco-fees are used to fund recycling programs for the electronics products you purchase. The fee, which varies by province, is used to cover the cost for the recycling depot operation, shipping, storage, breakdown and recycling of the item. All of these tasks are performed by independent operators, and Staples remits all fees collected from customers to these organizations. The fee is charged at the point of purchase so that when you recycle the item later, there is no additional charge.
Yes. If you paid an eco-fee when you purchased an item, Staples will refund that fee if you decide to return your purchase.
